THEME: APRIL IN PARIS Please join us for our International Spring Into Summer Doll Festival 2012 and International Doll Makers Society Competition in Houston, Texas March 22-24, 2012. We have lots of fun-filled days with special friends planned, and new this year, your registration will include a Welcome Party on Thursday evening with Nada Christensen performing, lunches for both Thursday and Friday, Friday evening Theme Dinner and Awards Ceremony, and Saturday evening Banquet, with Karen Martinez presenting her Souvenir Doll and live Auction. Disco party after the auction. We are very excited to offer many top awards: including Bay Area Doll Club's Texas Trophies: bronzed Elisabeth Ney for Best of Show Antique, bronzed Barbara Bush for Best of Show Modern, and bronzed Mary Van Osdell for Theme Category; International Doll Makers top awards, Collectible Doll Company and International Doll Artist awards this year. We also have our Special Luncheon on Friday for limited amount of persons with Joyce Murch presenting her French Can Can Mignonnette to her guests. We would love to have you join us. The Festival will be conveniently located again this year at the Hobby Airport Marriott Hotel, 9100 Gulf Freeway. The Festival attracts doll artisans and collectors of all kinds with cross-over markets for quilters and fabric artists, miniaturists, antique collectors and crafters. Thursday evening Welcome Party will also collect Toys for Tots and monetary donations for League City's Blue Santa. Those that can bring a new toy or make a monetary donation will receive 10 Helper Tickets. Come join us for the fun and festivities. Our Instructors and Teachers are working very hard to come up with new and exciting workshops and lectures. The Bay Area Doll Club is aggressively promoting the Festival in and around Houston, on television, in magazines, newspapers and on the internet.
